Nerja sits on the Costa del Sol of southern Spain in the Andalucia region. It was once a sleepy fishing village, but now tourism is its main industry. However, the men still fish. And, it has escaped the influx of concrete high rises that has blighted much of the Costa del Sol. It’s a lovely spot for relaxing on the beach, walking along the Balcón de Europa or sitting at one of the cafes and watch the world go by.
