Geneva is a lovely city perched on the shores of Lake Geneva on the border with France. Its population of just a little under half a million has an international flare to it, with many folks from other parts of the world due to the high concentration of world organizations being head quartered here. The signs are in French, but you’ll hear English, German (one of Switzerland’s other main languages), Spanish, and Italian (another of Switzerland’s main languages) just to name a few.
There is much to see, from the old town, to the Reformation park, the Flower Clock and, of course, the lakefront. Only being here in Switzerland a few days, I haven’t seen as much of Geneva as I would like, but I will say that it is a beautiful, vibrant and clean city with great public transportation, and a lot of construction (a good sign of their economy).
So, here are a few pics of my day in Geneva.
