Stirling Castle is a well known castle not far Edinburgh and Glasgow.
It’s definitely on the tourist trail with good reason as it’s an incredible site with lots of history.
And it was a very important castle in its heyday.
Nearby Doune Castle is less important.
Yet it still has some intriguing history.
And it has ties to a cult movie favorite — Monty Python’s Holy Grail.
